My name is Linda Jenkinson and I have been birdwatching for over 20 years. People often ask me how I became interested in birds - well, I’m sure that I was born with it. I can remember drawing and writing about birds from an early age. It only took someone to take me out with a pair of binoculars and I was hooked for life.
Over the last few years I have been working with the RSPB Leeds Local Group to raise awareness of birds and the charity in Leeds and the surrounding areas. During my time with my colleagues on committee I have organised indoor events, coach outings and weekend trips to a variety of locations around the UK. I have also worked on the bi-annual newsletter and the group’s web pages.
As well as teaching birdwatching, I am a qualified life coach. One
of my specialist areas is getting people to reconnect to their natural surroundings. I believe that the pace of modern life is disconnecting
us from our ability to achieve our true potential. I find my focus by being outdoors and watching wildlife. Interested? If so, you
