Get started on the road to being a better birdwatcher with this 2 hour focused session on binoculars and field guides. I’ll teach you how to get the best out of your binoculars and/or how to choose the right binoculars for you. By the end of the session you’ll know what to look for and what questions to ask. You’ll also be able to use your binoculars with increased speed and accuracy. the second half of the session will be dedicated to field guides. Learn how to choose the right field guide for you, why there are so many different ones out there and how to search for birds more quickly. NB: don’t buy anything especially for the session but do bring any binoculars and field guides you already own. Price £15 per person . Transport No transport. Meet at Hollybush Conservation Centre at 19:00. What to expect Indoor sessions take place in the Hollybush TCV classroom . Classes last 2 hours with refreshments at 20:00. Toilets are available at the Centre. Note for beginners Beginners are welcome but these classes will also suit experienced birdwatchers who would like to learn in a classroom setting. What to wear The classroom can get a little chilly at times so dress warmly.
