The production of pellets in birds is almost entirely associated with owls but virtually all birds have been seen producing pellets as part of their digestive process. This indoor session looks at bird digestion in detail. By the end of the session you’ll understand why birds produce pellets. You’ll also get the opportunity to dissect owl pellets and identify what has been eaten. Other pellets will be available to view. Price £15 per person including refreshments Transport No transport. Meet at Hollybush Conservation Centre at 19:00. What to expect Indoor sessions take place in the Hollybush TCV classroom. Classes last 2 hours with refreshments at 20:00. Toilets are available at the centre. Note for beginners These sessions are aimed at those new to birdwatching or anyone who would like to increase their understanding of the hobby. What to wear The classroom can get a little chilly at times so dress warmly.
