Friday Birdwatchers: Mickletown Ings November 11th 2016 This week’s 2 hour birdwatching class will be held at Mickletown Ings and St Aidan’s in the Lower Aire Valley. We start at 10am after an optional breakfast at Rivers Meet Café from 9am. £15 per person. You’ll quickly learn the birdwatching basics how to use your binoculars with speed and accuracy where birds can be found in your field guide. You’ll be given tips to help you identify birds and you’ll be taught some useful techniques for watching birds in the field. With practise, you’ll also be able to identify birds by their songs and calls. You’ll also learn about each bird’s story whether it migrates or stays in the UK; when it can be seen the types of habitats preferred by different species how birds adapt to their environment.
