Friday Birdwatching Club What better way to spend a Friday morning? Start with breakfast at Rivers Meet Café, before heading off to watch birds in the Lower Aire Valley with your own professional birdwatching guide. You’ll quickly learn the birdwatching basics how to use your binoculars with speed and accuracy where birds can be found in your field guide. You’ll be given tips to help you identify birds and you’ll be taught some useful techniques for watching birds in the field. With practise, you’ll also be able to identify birds by their songs and calls. You’ll also learn about each bird’s story whether it migrates or stays in the UK; when it can be seen the types of habitats preferred by different species how birds adapt to their environment. Venues will include: RSPB Fairburn Ings St Aidan’s Mickletown Ings Lowther Lake Temple Newsam Ledston Luck Nature Reserve and some brilliant green spaces along the Lines Way. You’ll quickly learn the birdwatching basics
