Tucked away between Kirkstall Road, the River Aire, the railway line and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal is the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s Kirkstall Valley Nature Reserve. This linear site provides a sheltered spot for birds such as bullfinch, chiffchaff, willow warbler and goldcrest and the river and weirs are home to grey wagtail, kingfisher and dipper.
