The Leeds Birdfair
From 9:30 am to 4:00 pmStart Birding and Rodley Nature Reserve in partnership Start Birding and Rodley Nature Reserve join forces once again to bring you the 4th Leeds Birdfair on Saturday 22nd June. This is a celebration of the wildlife and green spaces of Leeds. Our aims are to include as many local groups as possible to raise awareness of the wildlife and the opportunities to get involved in the green areas of our city. You’ll also be able to meet some local wildlife businesses. I’ll be holding a stall and offering a free prize draw and special Birdfair offers on trips that are booked on the day. Enjoy a range of events including a birdsong walk, a mammal survey, a bug hunt and a special opening of a moth trap. With luck, you may also see the reserve’s fish pass, normally closed to the public, and get some help from our guides in the hides. There will be food stalls and refreshments at the visitor centre including cakes. The fair is held at the amazing Rodley Nature Reserve on the River Aire in Leeds, last year’s winner of the Countryfile Magazine Reserve of the Year Award. Find out more by regularly visiting my Leeds Birdfair page to see the list of exhibitors (to be confirmed) and events.
