Birders usually flock to the Dearne Valley to visit the wonderful RSPB Old Moor nature reserve but there are many other sites to watch birds in the area. On this trip we’ll check the lagoons at Old Moor before heading off to the amazing Adwick Washlands to search the woodland, hedgerows and pools for wildlife. . What to expect Easy walking on flat ground but paths can be muddy in places. There are no hides or toilets at Adwick Washlands but there is a well equipped visitor centre at RSPB Old Moor. Note for beginners If you’re struggling to see birds through your binoculars, you’ll learn quickly how to use them with speed and accuracy and discover some useful techniques for watching birds in the field.
