Late March is a wonderful time to listen to our resident birds singing to announce their territory. At this time of year, all our residents are singing and we may also be able to hear one of our first spring migrants, the chiffchaff. We’ll explore the farmland and woodland for yellowhammer, great spotted woodpecker, nuthatch and treecreeper. Otters are also seen in the area. Price £15 per person including refreshments. You’ll be able to get advice about binoculars, what to buy and the best places to make a purchase. What to wear Wear plenty of layers and waterproof outer clothing including over-trousers and sturdy boots. Please don’t wear jeans as they will wick moisture from low growing vegetation. Scarf, gloves and hat will be needed and it’s a good idea to carry spare socks and gloves.
