Letchmire Pastures Nature Reserve

This is my first Tuesday visit to the little known Letchmire Pastures in Allerton Bywater. We’ll scan the scrub, farmland and lagoons to look for green woodpecker, wildfowl, buzzard, little grebe, skylark, reed bunting and yellowhammer. We’ll also look for flocks of thrushes, tits and finches and listen to some songs and calls.

Lower Derwent Valley

This autumn trip will take us to North Duffield Carrs, Thorganby and Weldrake along the River Derwent, south of York.
