A change to the advertised event, this will now be a special birthday bash for all Start Birding customers at the award winning Rodley Nature Reserve. Price Free event but booking is essential. All you need to bring is a packed lunch. If you like to bake, it would be great if you could make cakes or buns to share on the day. Any leftover cake will be sold at the visitor centre to raise money for the reserve. If you don’t like to bake then a donation to Rodley Nature Reserve will be much appreciated. Transport For this event, we meet at the nature reserve by arrangement. What to expect The reserve is on flat ground but paths could be muddy in places. Cafe and toilets are available at the reserve. What to wear Wear plenty of layers to keep out the chill including thermal base layers. Please don’t wear jeans as they will wick moisture from low growing vegetation. Bring a waterproof coat, over-trousers and sturdy, waterproof boots, scarf, gloves and a hat. It’s advisable to bring spare gloves and socks.
