On this special 4 hour private visit you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to walk around the award winning Rodley Nature Reserve reserve without the crowds. You’ll learn the songs of the remaining breeding songbirds and you’ll have the chance to learn the difference between sand martin, swallow, house martin and swift in flight. Hopefully kingfisher, little owl and common tern will also be present. Price £25 per person including refreshments. Transport No transport available on this trip. Meet at the reserve car park at 08:50 What to expect Some uneven ground and muddy paths but most of the paths are easy going. There are toilets at the visitor centre. Note for beginners If you’re struggling to see birds through your binoculars, you’ll learn quickly how to use them with speed and accuracy and discover some useful techniques for watching birds in the field. You’ll also learn how to identify birds by their songs and calls.Please don’t buy binoculars especially for the trip as these can be provided on request. You’ll be able to get advice about binoculars, what to buy and the best places to make a purchase. What to wear Bring layers, waterproof clothing and boots.
