Not such a happy new year after all!

We didn’t even get started with classes in 2021. Just hours before I was to run my first group of the year I was stopped in my tracks, having to contact clients in the late evening after Boris’s message to the nation. This came as a blow to me after only delivering one group session in December and losing most of my income in 2020.

Let’s hope that the vaccination programme will get us back to some sort of normality very soon. I know you’re all missing your usual wildlife walks and learning about our amazing avifauna. Winter is the most wonderful time to be out birdwatching in the UK and it’s a great loss to me not being able to get to Scotland or Norfolk to see flocks of geese and waders.

Thankfully, we have the most fabulous post-industrial wetlands in the Aire Valley with birds that any nature reserve would be proud to host. I hope to see some of you out there as you take your permitted exercise.
