Moving from lockdown 2 to Tier 3

Hello birdwatchers

Well, it’s been the most dreadful year and not one I’ve felt like writing about hence my comparative silence on my blog and on social media. Like so many people, I’ve lost a loved one and have had some very difficult family issues to manage.

What usually keeps me going through hard times is being outdoors with nature, spending time with my lovely clients and teaching people about birds. For most of the year it’s not been possible to do this and I’ve really missed my regluar groups, running stalls, providing talks, raising awareness about swifts and hosting the Leeds Birdfair. In total, I’ve had to cancel 87 events which has had a big impact on the business but I’ve been grateful for the times I’ve been able to get out to run bespoke sessions and groups. Let’s hope that, as we move into 2021, the virus will stabilise and allow us to confidently plan for the future.

Look out for updates on the website, more regular news items and more online options to learn about birds. I’ll be spending the winter planning new events and ways I can communicate about the birds that can be found in and around Leeds.
